Seeking for Registrar and Academic Path Coordinator
The École de danse contemporaine de Montréal is currently seeking a candidate for the position of Registrar and Academic Path Coordination.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Under the authority of the Artistic and Academic Director (AAD), the person holding the position of Registrar and Academic Path Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities and resources related to students’ academic progress and records.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In close collaboration with the Pedagogical Services Coordinator:
Registrar’s Office
- Participates in implementing and supporting the School’s artistic and educational mission:
- Schedules, admissions, candidate auditions;
- Student evaluations (sending materials to faculty, compiling results, updating, reviewing and filtering comments, liaising with the CEGEP — ensuring regulations are respected);
- Manages the creation and updating of student files;
- Ensures the application of policies related to academic organization;
- Enters data for preparing the master schedule and various timetables;
- Ensures schedules are distributed to teaching staff and students;
- Updates class schedules weekly and posts them;
- In collaboration with the AAD, contacts substitute teachers or musicians in the event of cancellations or absences;
- In collaboration with the AAD, updates guides and policies, prepares and distributes letters and other documents related to the beginning of the academic year (administrative and pedagogical information, etc.) for students;
- Enters data for course selections, absences, grades, and other information;
- Compiles statistics and other school-related data for annual reports and accountability purposes;
- Produces reports and compiles program data to be sent to the Ministry of Education and the Cégep du Vieux Montréal;
- Responds to information requests from applicants and students or directs them to the appropriate people.
Auditions
- In collaboration with the AAD and the Pedagogical Services Coordinator, manages and coordinates the audition process in its entirety;
- Manages audition files, reception, registrations, course selection, academic sanctions, and the analysis and granting of equivalencies;
- Supports candidates throughout the audition process (before, during, and after).
Student Support
- Collects and compiles student absences and makes this information available to teachers;
- Keeps students’ health files up to date;
- Acts as a resource person for students and advises them on procedures throughout their academic path;
- Follows up with at-risk students or students experiencing particular difficulties;
- In collaboration with the AAD, updates, implements, and monitors “success plans”;
- Performs any other related tasks requested by management.
Other Tasks
- In collaboration with the AAD, oversees the operational management of the Summer School;
- In close collaboration with the Communications Department, continuously reviews and updates program and activity content across communication platforms.
PROFILE SOUGHT
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in administration or equivalent training;
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in a position involving similar responsibilities, preferably in the college sector;
- Excellent spoken and written French;
- Excellent knowledge of English;
- Proficiency in Word and Excel;
- Knowledge of educational management systems and educational networks (SRAM) would be an asset;
- Knowledge of dance or performing arts is considered an asset.

Employment Terms
- Permanent full-time position;
