DIVERSION Event – A Platform for Emerging Artists
DIVERSION is a platform dedicated to emerging artistic talent, offering artists the opportunity to present excerpts from their works in the field of experimental live art, regardless of their development stage. Focused on interdisciplinary encounters and sharing, this event fosters a relaxed and pressure-free atmosphere, thus encouraging creative exploration, research, and creativity.
What We’re Looking For:
Complete works or excerpts approximately 15-20 minutes in length.
Event Date : June 13, 2024
Location: Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi Montréal-Centre-Ville
Festive Edition: What Does It Mean?
Consider your piece if it is:
– Festive
– Related to celebration and fun
– Light
– Energetic and bubbly
– In a relaxed, light-hearted atmosphere
This evening is perfect for presenting your piece!
Technical Setup: DIY setup (basic lighting and speakers), indoor space with windows, performance area of 15 feet x 10 feet, setup/breakdown within 5 minutes max.
Compensation: Artists will be paid based on the ticket sales revenue shared among the acts performed during the evening.
Additional Opportunities: Two creative residencies at CJE will be awarded randomly among the participating projects by CJE Montréal Centre-Ville.
CommunCollectif: An experimental live art collective. Areas of focus include creation, event organization and curating, and cultural mediation.
