Untitled I + III explore la vulnérabilité humaine comme force de résilience. Par la répétition du geste chorégraphique, le corps et l’esprit s’abandonnent et s’altèrent. Les interprètes, dénudés tout comme la scène sur laquelle ils se tiennent, initient vigoureusement et continuellement divers mouvements et phases de répétition. Au-delà de la performance, l’abandon complet des trois hommes dévoile peu à peu leur résilience et celle du public. Par son humanité minutieusement véhiculée, Untitled I + III libère l’espace et le temps pour faire place à l’expérience.

Untitled I + III explores the vulnerable human as a force of resilience. Through a choreographic repetition, the body and individual surrender and are transformed. The performers, bare and unadorned as the stage on which they stand, strenuously commit to undertake ever changing phases of repetition. A complete abandonment of three men towards to vulnerability, the work pierces beyond performance to reveal an unfolding transformation of resilience for both audience and performers. With its carefully nurtured humanity, Untitled I + III clears space and time to make way for experience.
→ Originally from Bogota, Andrea Peña is a multidisciplinary artists whose creative practice touches upon choreography and design. Peña has received numerous prices for her conceptual and visceral creations, including the 2018 Banff Centre’s Clifford E Lee Award, recognizing one choreographer in Canada. Founded in 2014, the company, Andrea Peña & Artists is recognized in Canada and Internationally for its creations of critical, alternative and spatial universes.
