While her partner-in-crime, Maarten Van Cauwenberghe, plays Bob Dylan records on a turntable, Lisbeth Gruwez, dressed in a white tunic, dances alone. It is a minimalist presentation that evokes, with tenderness and melancholy, the fragility and the beauty of the moment. This praise of letting go, in which masterful performer Lisbeth Gruwez delivers material that is raw, yet airborne, is an invitation to glide into wide open skies.

World-renowned for her remarkable work as a performer, she has worked with acclaimed choreographers, including Jan Fabre and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. In 2007, Lisbeth Gruwez co-founded the company Voetvolk and has since developed her own creative work. This outstanding artist is a regular at the Usine C, where she has presented Birth of Prey (2012), It’s going to get worse and worse, my friend (2013), and AH/HA (2015).
