Marc Lalonde

Company

After training at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec, Marc Lalonde danced mainly for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Calgary City Ballet and Howard Richard Danse.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and economics from the Université de Montréal, and an MBA from HEC Montréal.

After serving as Director of Development and Marketing for the I Musici de Montréal Chamber Orchestra, he was appointed General Manager from 1996 to 1999. He was then appointed General Manager of the National Circus School, a position he held until his appointment as General Manager of the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec in 2015. He has been General Manager of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens since 2018.

Co-founder of Tohu – La Cité des arts du cirque, Marc Lalonde has served on numerous other boards in the cultural sector, including those of the Conseil québécois de la musique, the Association des écoles supérieures d’art de Montréal, En Piste, Regroupement national des arts du cirque, the European Federation of Professional Circus Schools and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. He is a member of the advisory committee of the Carmelle and Remi-Marcoux Chair in Arts Management at HEC Montréal.
