Dance artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal, Châtelaine Côté-Rioux (elle) places at the heart of her artistic practice a quest for sensations, meanings and encounters. Graduating from UQAM's B.A. dance program in 2020, she collaborates as a performer with Le Carré des Lombes, on projects by Sarah Dell'Ava and with emerging artists such as Pamela Aubé, Rozenn Lecomte and Noël Vézina.

In 2022, her piece Théorie popcorn, co-created with Pamela Aubé, was presented by Tangente at Danses buissonnières and benefited from a Circuit-Est creative residency with Catherine Gaudet as artistic advisor.

Châtelaine is particularly interested in the poetic and political impact of the performing arts on our society, and is therefore involved in various cultural initiatives that echo her convictions. She is currently curator of the experimental performing arts event À PART, and teaches for the children's company Bouge de là.
