Code Universel

Rooted in contemporary dance, Code Universel develops a multidisciplinary practice that moves freely between movement, theatre, music, literature, and the visual arts. The organization produces works for black box theatres, site-specific creations, as well as cultural mediation and participation activities. Its projects take place in new settings, reach diverse audiences, and address a central issue: making art and culture more accessible.

By bringing together various artistic practices and engaging artists, citizens, and people from diverse backgrounds, Code Universel fosters cultural participation and creates spaces for social and civic reflection through art. The organization serves as a space for exchange beyond established norms and conventions, a creative laboratory, and a project incubator where artists and participants are free to express their creativity. Its approach is grounded in one conviction: every person carries a culture and lived experience that deserves to be made visible, recognized, and shared.
