Depth Movement is an intense and dense group class focused on dynamics. It’s about energy—constantly pushing your limits. It invites you to understand what defines you as a dancer and to push those boundaries again and again. The environment becomes a source of influence to enrich your dance skills; you refine your tools to create new movement qualities and rhythms. You deepen your personal dance vocabulary to become who you want to be. The work is done in partnership, using multidirectional micro-narrative movements in a collective transformative dynamic. You’ll learn to be unpredictable, to recycle energy, and to use the body as the main tool. Edivaldo offers a unique learning process, guiding you as a teacher and mentor to help you assimilate the work and reach an entirely new level.
Edivaldo Ernesto (Mozambique/DE) is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and improvisation expert. Originally from Mozambique, he is influenced by traditional West African dances. He has performed and taught internationally, notably as assistant teacher for Flying Low and Passing Through techniques with David Zambrano, and through collaborations with Linda Kapetanea and Rootlessroot on the duo HTT. Creator of the workshops “Depth Movement” and “Next Level,” he teaches across Europe, North and South America, and Asia. He is also a former member of the Sasha Waltz & Guests company.
