A 12-week contact improvisation research lab held by Andrea Muniz, Sophie Bijjani & Victoria Hill. Over 12 weeks, we’ll move through three 4-week research cycles together.

Each 4-Week Cycle Includes:

Week 1:
Shared pooling of ideas and selection of research themes, building our working agreements together, feeling what’s alive in the group and where we will move our curiosity.

Weeks 2 & 3:
Deepening and developing our shared curiosities through intensive physical research and play.

Week 4:
Final day of research, followed by an invited Open Jam*.

Each cycle builds on the previous one, but you’re welcome to join at any point in a cycle if you can’t commit to all 12 weeks.

*This is an open invitation! Anyone is welcome to come join us for an open jam ($5-$10) from 6:30pm-8:00pm on the following Tuesdays:

• September 29th
• October 27th
• November 24th (Last Day Celebration!)

Weekly Structure:

• 45 min drills & training
• 1.5 hr collaborative research
• 45 min score-making and shared dance informed by the day’s research

Languages: English & French (bilingual)

Pricing:

• 12 weeks: $264 ($22/lab)
• 4-class pass: $104 ($26/lab)
• Drop-in: $30

A 4-class pass does not need to be used on consecutive weeks. Class passes are non-transferrable. Please note that if you are unable to pay the above prices, we do have Pay What You Can options available, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
