Research and Creation Residency with Puppetry

For professional artists on the Island of Montreal

With the aim of advancing the puppetry arts, Casteliers and the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM) are partnering to offer one (1) new research and creation residency designed to promote the sharing of puppetry expertise with other disciplines.

This residency aims to support the project of an artist, a collective of artists, or a non-profit organization incorporated on the Island of Montreal working in another discipline (dance, music, film, circus arts, digital arts, visual arts, literature and storytelling, or theater—provided that puppetry has not yet been integrated into their theatrical practice) who partners with a puppetry designer or a professional puppeteer to develop a puppetry language within a production.
