Kimberley De Jong completed her training at the Arts Umbrella school of dance in Vancouver, B.C. In 2006 she started working for La Compagnie Marie Chouinard, and has been engaged with the company since, contributing to creations such as Orphee et Eurydice(2008) and Mouvemnt/Henri Michaux (2011). She also rehearsal directs the company and has been setting repertoire internationally, notably on the Gothenburg Dance Company, Sweden. She has been influenced by movement based approaches to dance such as "Gaga", Ohad Naharin's movement research and was granted a development grant to study alongside the Batsheva dance company in Tel Aviv (2008); and continuum movement with Linda Rabin in Montreal. Kimberley was a part of the creation and danced in Frederic Gravel’s Usually Beauty Fails, 2013, Montreal, QC. She had the opportunity of learning and performing Sylvain Emard’s solo Fragments-Emoi Emoi, originally created on Catherine Viau. Kimberley presented her first full length creation CYCLe through TANGENTE Montreal in 2014.
