Dancer, Choreographer, Instructor
Sarah Wendt is a choreographer-performer, musician and visual artist. Originally from Prince Edward Island, she has lived and worked in Tiohtiá:ke / Mooniyang / Montreal since 2003.
She has a professional certificate in contemporary dance from MainDance in Vancouver and studying classical music (French horn) at the University of Victoria.
She was awarded the DanceWEB Europe scholarship in 2007 and the APAF artist residency in Nova Scotia in 2014. From 2014-2016 she taught contemporary dance, creative process and improvisation in voice and movement at Holland College School of Performing Arts in Charlottetown, PEI. Between 1999 and 2002 she was a professional flamenco dancer on the local scene in Victoria and Vancouver. In addition to her work in contemporary dance, she practices and teaches social dance. Since 2018 she’s taught disco for adults.
Since 2016 she has been working in a visual arts and dance duo with artist Pascal Dufaux.
