Kluane Peabody

Kluane Peabody is a Canadian-American performer, choreographer, and multidisciplinary creator based in Montréal, with professional experience in Vancouver, New York, Turin and Oslo. Her practice explores the body’s emotional and textural landscape, creating work that is theatrical, cinematic, and physically dynamic. Interested in vulnerability, transformation, and the relationship between the individual and society, she brings a strong physicality and curiosity to her performance work. Kluane graduated from Modus Operandi under the direction of Tiffany Tregarthen, David Raymond, and Kate Franklin, and has performed works by Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Crystal Pite, Shay Kuebler, Yin Yue, Alan Lucien Øyen, and Gallim Dance Company. Most recently, she toured internationally with winter guests / Alan Lucien Øyen in Story, Story, Die. She is a recipient of the 2023 BC Arts Council Excellence Scholarship.
