Bailey Madill

Born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia, Bailey Madill began her dance journey at a young age, extensively training in the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum. At 16, she moved to Vancouver to pursue professional ballet training at the Goh Ballet Academy, Coastal City Ballet, and The Richmond Academy of Dance, studying under renowned ballet pedagogues.
In 2013, Bailey began her professional career as an apprentice for Joshua Beamish/MOVE: The Company's full-length production "Pierced," and the following year served as a mentor for Beamish's Telus Youth Mentor Project. She went on to dance as a company member with Ballet Kelowna under Simone Orlando, Ballet Edmonton directed by Jorden Morris, and Ballet Ouest de Montréal, performing in a diverse repertoire including classical, neo-classical, and contemporary works by choreographers such as Shawn Hounsell, Heather Myers, Simone Orlando, Jorden Morris, and Heather Laura Gray.
Bailey's versatility extends to opera and television, having performed with Vancouver Opera and appearing on NBC's "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist," choreographed by Mandy Moore. A notable career highlight was performing alongside dancers from the National Ballet of Canada and American Ballet Theatre in Joshua Beamish/MOVE: The Company's world premiere of "@giselle."
In 2023, Bailey trained intensively in Paris with Jean-Marie Didière and Yasna Stevovich, and made her New York City debut in Joshua Beamish/MOVE: The Company's remount of "@giselle." Now based in Montreal, she recently celebrated her third season with Ballet Ouest de Montréal as a principal dancer, continuing through the 2025/2026 season.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Bailey enjoys choreography, is certified in Boris Kniaseff by Yasna Stevovich floor barre method as well as Progressing Ballet Technique, and specializes in coaching repertoire and variations for advanced and pre-professional students. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge, her love of the art form, and inspiring the next generation of dancers.
