Lucy Fandel

Lucy Fandel is a dance artist based in Tiohtià:ke / Montréal who grew up between Concord, Massachusetts and Beaulieu-sur-mer, France before studying dance and sociology at Concordia University. Her movement, teaching and writing practice is grounded in observation, listening, and engaging with her surroundings. Often at the intersection of social, scientific and artistic movement, her site-specific and stage works have been shown in Canada and abroad. She has performed in works by Allison Moore, Sarah Wendt and Pascal Dufaux, Chloe Hart and the collective As They Strike, among others.
She is active in her community as an artistic advisor, arts outreach facilitator, journalist for The Dance Current, co-founder of Nous Sommes L’Été, a non-profit in service of emerging artists’ creative development, and more.
