Lucy Fandel

Lucy Fandel is a dance artist and writer based in Tio’tia:ke/Montreal. Often at the intersection of social, scientific, and artistic movement, her work has been shown in Canada and abroad. She has performed in works by Wendt+Dufaux, Chloe Hart, Catherine Chun Hua Dong, and the collective As They Strike, among others. Her recent creation The Sway of Stone with co-choreographer Nickle Peace-Williams, was self-produced entirely outdoors at La friche au pied du courant as an in situ performance turned film. Lucy is also co-founder of the creative development non-profit for artists Nous Sommes L’Été and coordinator for Concordia University’s Performing Arts Research Cluster (Angélique Willkie and Eldad Tsabary). Her practice continues to grow through conversations with artistic advisor Bailey Eng, and in several ecologically-oriented residencies.
