Krystina Dejean

Chorégraphe, Travailleur.se culturel.le, Interprète

Krystina Dejean (Mystique) is a Tiohtià:ke/Montréal-based dancer, choreographer, and cultural worker specializing in improvised street and club styles (waacking, hustle, hip-hop). Her artistic practice thrives at the intersection of performance, research, and community-building, blending raw freestyle energy with emerging choreographic languages.

Currently, she is deepening her choreographic approach—driven by a belief in dance as a tool for empathy and connection—through research residencies and intimate cabaret-style showings. Simultaneously, she continues to expand as a performer, weaving street dance with theatrical and on-camera work, most recently in Claire Renaud’s feminist multidisciplinary play Sportriarcat (2023-25).

Beyond the stage, Krystina is an active cultural organizer, collaborating with Montréal institutions like Montréal Danse (Production Coordinator, 2022) and Studio 303 (Assistant Artistic & General Director, 2023–26). Committed to her street dance community, she produces events such as C’est Ma Toune (2021-26), fostering connection and visibility for local dancers.
