Gabrielle Desgagnés is a Quebec city-based dancer, trainer and cultural worker who graduated from L’École de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal in 2008. Since then, she continued to evolve her physical skills through studying with different teachers and taking workshops in Canada and across the world, as well as training in acrobatics. On stage, Gabrielle has been performing in different projects and companies including Lara Kramer's work, Fragments, and for Thierry Huard's work including a solo, La Maîtrise. Gabrielle also took part in Arcade Fire’s videoclip, Sprawl 2, choreographed by Dana Gingras and also performed for different events at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. She was an apprentice for the remount of monumental from The Holy Body Tattoo defunct company and performed a piece by Pierre-Marc Ouellette and Manon De Pauw, Cocons somatiques, at l’Agora de la danse. However, we saw her dancing in the music video Erreur sur la personne by songwriter Martin Lizotte, as well as for the Carnaval de Québec under the direction of Harold Rhéaume. In 2023, she took part of the dancing film La timidité des cimes by the company Le Fils d'Adrien danse as well as its new creation, Sens (2023-2025). She will soon be seen in the new project Danser Niki, again with Le Fils d'Adrien danse, presented at the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.
As Gabrielle continues her dance career, she is teachning GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods since 2011 as a certified trainer. Since 2017, she is also a cultural worker (from DTRC/CQRTD to Confluence – Créateur de vocations) and more recently joined the RQD team.
