Ciro Melgaço

Ciro Melgaço is a Brazilian movement artist and an economist graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He had his first contact with dance through Brazilian folklore, joining the “Grupo Sarandeiros”. Later, he decided to extend his dance studies to ballet and contemporary dance and was part of the groups “Dança Jovem”, “Grupo Sala B” and “Ballet Jovem Minas Gerais”, while participating in independent projects such as “Because – O Espetáculo” and “Petite Fleur”.
Currently, after completing the Big Bang intensive in Montreal, Ciro, in addition to working part-time as assistant to the general and artistic direction at Art Circulation, is interested in finding his own authentic movement, mixing all the different styles he has worked with.
