Laura Brisson

Originally from Lévis, Laura Brisson began her professional training in contemporary dance at École de danse de Québec (EDQ), where she studied for one year. She then continued her studies at École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM), graduating in 2023.
Since then, Laura has continued to develop her practice as both a performer and a creator through various workshops and residencies, locally and internationally: Gagalab Berlin 2023, Transformation 2024 with Hun-Mok Jung (Peeping Tom), and the IMPULSTANZ Dance Festival 2024 in the ATLAS – Create Your Dance Trails program.
As a performer, she has had the opportunity to collaborate and dance for Stephanie Lake, Mark Sampson, Alejandro Sajgalik (as an apprentice), MARIBÉ – SORS DE CE CORPS, Compagnie DansEncorps (New Brunswick), and Zemmour Ballet (Sherbrooke).
Also active as a creator for her own projects, she presented her multidisciplinary creation ECHOES_light+body at Danses Buissonnières 2024, as well as an excerpt at Studio 303 during the 2025 Marathon Performatif. She is also involved in various projects led by emerging choreographers in Montreal.
