Bashir Al Mahayni

Bashir Al Mahayni, also known as Beasho, is a dancer, choreographer, and visual artist based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal). Beginning his artistic journey as a Bboy in Damascus, Syria, he developed a practice that bridges street dance, contemporary performance, and visual arts. His work explores the relationship between movement and visual perception, where the body becomes a medium for creating images, rhythms, and compositions in space. He co-founded Molokhia Squad with Ines Chiha, a collective exploring dance, performance, and embodied research.
