Young Audience Creation Residency 2025-2026

Théâtre de la Ville would like to become a creation partner for artistic companies working with young audiences or teenagers, by offering creation residencies in fully equipped spaces.

Deadline: June 9, 2025

Over the next few months, between August 2025 and June 2026, selected companies will be able to benefit from a residency at Théâtre de la Ville to further explore the creative process of a work in progress. The artistic projects submitted may be at different stages of development. The aim is to create the optimum conditions for each project to evolve.

Selected projects will benefit from :

● Creative studio space – variable duration of residency
● Technical equipment according to the studio’s technical specifications
● Technical staff for set-up and dismantling
● Artistic and professional support from the Théâtre de la Ville team
● Visibility and promotion
● An exchange with the community through a residency outing.

Eligibility criteria:

● A willingness to collaborate with the Théâtre de la Ville team and a desire to develop a dialogue with the community.
● Be available between August 2025 and June 2026 to carry out the residency.

Evaluation criteria:

● Originality and boldness of artistic approach
● Relevance
● Feasibility
● Equity and inclusion
● Professionalism

The application must include:

● The CV of the artist or company
● A letter of intent describing the desired objectives for the residency
● A description of the project at its current stage (title, creative team, summary or synopsis, description of artistic approach) (max 5 pages)
● A proposal for a mediation activity or meeting with the community
● Appendix: text, excerpt, visual or audio documents, if applicable (max 5 pages)
● Periods of availability for residencies
● Technical requirements for the residency
