Paid Internship – Programme DémART
Montréal Danse, a choreographic development platform that has been creating, producing, and presenting works for 40 years, is seeking its next intern as part of the DémART program, managed by the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM).
For a period of six months in 2026, from January to June (dates to be confirmed), we are looking to welcome a project manager who meets the eligibility criteria established by the CAM:
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident on the date of application;
Be from a culturally diverse background (ethnocultural or visible minority);
Be an immigrant, newcomer, or first-generation immigrant;
Be self-employed in the arts (according to the Status of the Artist Act and Quebec employment conditions);
Be a resident of the Island of Montreal.
Job description:
In addition to supporting the intern’s personal artistic development, the intern will be called upon to participate in the implementation of various Montréal Danse activities, particularly by providing administrative and logistical support.
They will have the opportunity to take part in the development of promising projects, such as events organized as part of the philanthropic campaign marking the 15th anniversary of Dance Against Violence, a project led by the company since 2010, which offers movement workshops in women’s shelters to support victims of domestic violence.
The internship will take place within a caring, committed team that is rich in cultural and linguistic diversity.
Internship dates: January-June 2026
Remuneration: $12,000 for 600 hours ($20/hour), funded by CAM
