Specializing in the training of contemporary dance performers, the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM) positions itself as a centre of excellence in the performing arts in Canada. Renowned for the avant-garde approach and rigor of its training, EDCM serves as fertile ground for artistic research and development, as well as the emergence of new trends. Since its founding in 1981, it has trained more than 500 professional dance performers who have made their mark on national and international stages. Position Summary
Under the authority of the Director of Administration and Finance, the Front Desk Attendant is responsible for performing various reception and customer service tasks.
Responsibilities
More specifically, the person will assume the following responsibilities:
Reception duties:
- Welcome clients arriving for activities
- Answer phone calls and take messages
- Respond to information requests or redirect them to the administrative team
- Register clients for activities and collect related fees
- Enter registrations for recreational classes into the database
- Collect payments for registrations, memberships, and drop-in classes
- Prepare deposits and deliver them to the Director of Administration and Finance
- Ensure the safety and security of the premises and notify the administrative team of any irregular situations
- Close the premises at the end of activities
- Maintain the staff kitchen as needed (cleaning the refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, etc.)
- Perform any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor
Required Profile
- High school diploma, college education, or relevant professional experience
- Two or more years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in French, spoken and written
- Functional English, spoken and written
- Good command of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of COBA software is an asset

Hiring Terms
- Permanent part-time position
