Financial Controller
Machine de Cirque is a contemporary circus company based in Québec City. It delivers a high dose of breathtaking feats, powerful emotions, poetry, intelligence, and humor through the creation of original and innovative circus shows. Founded in 2013 and based at Saint-Charles Church in Limoilou, their shows are presented around the world.
Position Responsibilities
For all four subsidiaries of the Machine de Cirque group, under the supervision of the Executive Director, perform the following tasks:
- Verify and process payroll
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare and remit monthly payroll deductions and GST/QST reports
- Monitor bank accounts daily and manage cash flow
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Issue Records of Employment and tax slips
- Prepare and oversee year-end audit files
- Ensure the proper functioning of the accounting system
- Perform any other related tasks aligned with the organization’s mission
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration/Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
- Experience with tax regulations and/or tax credits is an asset
- Excellent written and spoken French and English
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Versatility, flexibility, and proactivity
