Artist Residency Program – 2nd Edition
The École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) is launching the second edition of its Artist Residency Program combining art and technology.
ÉTS invites artists of all disciplines to submit a proposal for its Call for Submissions. The residency will take place on the university’s premises from April to December 2026.
Part of ÉTS’s Art and Culture Integration Program (PIAC) and led by the Office of Sustainable Development, this residency aims to foster collaboration and meaningful connections between the artistic community and ÉTS’s research community. It will bring together artists and researchers through the creation of an original artistic project.
With this initiative, ÉTS seeks to encourage the development of interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral projects, and to reaffirm the importance of dialogue between art, science, engineering, and design. Selected individual artists or artist collectives will have the opportunity to collaborate with researchers while benefiting from an environment conducive to experimentation.
Two residencies will be awarded. Each selected artist or collective will receive:
- Access to a creative space equipped with advanced technologies and tools
- A residency grant of $15,000
- A production budget of up to $5,000
- Up to $10,000 in funding for the compensation of ÉTS students
- Logistical support from the PIAC team
- The opportunity to collaborate closely with ÉTS researchers
Application deadline: October 9, 2025
