Looking for Communications and Philanthropy Manager
Founded in 2000 under the artistic direction of Hélène Langevin, Bouge de là is one of the few professional dance companies in Quebec devoted exclusively to choreographic creation for young audiences. Its contemporary dance shows are imbued with humor and poetry, and integrate a variety of artistic disciplines.
The major project of the new position will be the production of VOLUME 2 of our artistic and educational game, 26 cartes à danser, scheduled for launch in autumn 2025! In addition, three theatrical works and one site-specific work will be circulating in Canada for the 2025-2026 season. Finally, our annual fundraising campaign, Phrasé collectif, will be held in October.

Role and responsibilities:
Working with the company’s general management, the incumbent develops and implements the company’s communication and philanthropic development strategies. The incumbent is responsible for promoting the company’s artistic, educational and philanthropic activities, as well as raising the organization’s profile.
+ communications (approx. 60% of the job)
– Define strategies and design communication plans for the organization (overall and by project);
– Monitor the organization’s image and ensure consistency of all promotional material;
– Design and coordinate the production of communication tools (website, newsletter, printed material, videos, photos, social media);
– Write press releases and coordinate media relations campaigns and interviews;
– Create digital content, manage and animate platforms (sites, social networks), analyze statistics;
– Ensure compliance with visibility agreements with partners;
– Monitor and relay relevant information on social media;
– Control the budget assigned to the sector and negotiate agreements with suppliers.
+ philanthropy (approximately 40% of the task, depending on activities)
– Plan and coordinate philanthropic activities (fundraising campaigns and events);
– Develop solicitation strategies, identify new donors and build donor loyalty;
– Draft documentation and formal proposals to donors;
– Search for financial partners (foundations and companies) and prepare solicitation files;
– Monitor best practices in philanthropy;
– Analyze the impact of funding strategies and the results of actions in order to improve them.
+ any other related communications or philanthropic development tasks
Education and skills required :
– University degree in communications, cultural management or related field;
– Minimum of three years’ experience in communications;
– Excellent command of written and spoken French, excellent writing skills. Good knowledge of English;
– Proficiency in Mac environment, Office suite, Adobe suite, Mailchimp and WordPress;
– Good knowledge of digital communications, content creation and social network management;
– Experience in graphic design and video editing;
– Knowledge of the cultural milieu, dance, and/or young audiences (an asset).

Conditions of employment :
– Start date: as soon as possible;
– Reporting to general management;
– Permanent position, 30 hours/week;
– Salary according to experience and salary range, between $35,880 and $43,680;
– Group insurance after 3 months, generous vacation and flexible hours;
– Our offices are located in Montreal. Hybrid work arrangement, to be discussed.
