«
The first questions that First Nations Elders ask when a community
member is facing struggles are: « When was the last time you sang ? When
was the last time you danced ? When was the last time you drummed ? ».
Robbie Madsen, Two-Spirit Cree singer, writer, and student of First
Nations’ ethnobotany

WHEN
WAS_the last time you sang ? is a creative alliance between Indigenous
and non-Indigenous artists. We reposition art in one of its original
foundations: an act of collective healing. Together, we create a space
that invites a return to oneself and a connection with others. – Robbie
Madsen, performing artist, combines art and healing through his presence
and song. The artwork becomes a reinvented ritual space.

In
WHEN WAS_ the last time you sang ?, enter a timeless space, let
yourself be rocked by it, draw a card from the pack and, accompanied by
Robbie, make the connections you need to make.
