Performing Arts Networks in Québec and Positioning

This workshop will provide you with tools to approach the right presenters and connect with the venues that suit your work. It will enhance your overall understanding of market development in Québec and its key players.

After identifying the characteristics of your artistic approach and the productions you wish to tour, the instructor will guide you in finding venues likely to present your projects.

You will also learn about the essential stages in the life cycle and development of a show, with the goal of facilitating professional relationships between you and presenters.

Finally, the functioning of networks (ROSEQ, Réseau Centre, Réseau Scènes, Objectif Scène, Accès Culture, RIDEAU, etc.) will be analyzed: programming schedules, criteria for organizing a tour, regional realities, and more.

A participant workbook, as well as practical exercises, will be available online during the workshop.
