Introduction to Traditional Southeast Mexican Dance (Foot Percussion) Workshop

As part of the performance “I Will Not Flood the Sea” by Mexican artist Sonia Bustos, MAI (Montreal, Intercultural Arts) is hosting artists Eloisa Reséndiz and Valeria De Marre for a workshop open to everyone!
The workshop aims to develop the basic rhythms of Son Jarocho.

Come discover this percussive dance which is part of the community celebration known as Fandango!

Age: 16 and over
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Languages: French + Spanish
Prerequisites: None! Bring foot percussion shoes (tap, flamenco, zapateado, etc.) if you have them!

Price: $22
The workshop price includes a ticket to the “Je ne vais pas inonder la mer” performance by Mexican artist Sonia Bustos for the date of your choice (May 15, 16, 17, 18 at 7:30 PM and May 18 at 2 PM).
