Seeking for General Coordinator

About the Position

The Rencontre Théâtre Ados (RTA) is seeking a dynamic, creative, and organized individual to join its team as General Coordinator.

This is a temporary position lasting 47 weeks, from mid-August 2026 to mid-July 2027, with one week of training in July 2026.

As part of this role, the selected candidate will provide essential logistical, administrative, and creative support for the implementation of RTA’s various projects. They will work closely with the Executive and Artistic Director to help coordinate annual activities, special projects, and the festival.

The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, works independently, and can anticipate needs in a flexible and stimulating work environment. They are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will report to the Executive and Artistic Director of RTA.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the logistics of theatre, improvisation, and cultural mediation workshops in schools.
  • Supervise artists, facilitators, and cultural mediators during workshops and activities.
  • Participate in the organization and coordination of the RTA Festival, as well as the cultural mediators’ school tour.
  • Support the implementation of special projects and cultural initiatives for teenagers.
  • Coordinate and manage the logistics of the Extrêm’Ados program.
  • Maintain administrative files, records, and statistics.
  • Prepare reports and follow-up documents.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for audience development initiatives.
  • Welcome guests, artists, and participants during events and the festival.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational life.

  • A strong interest in the cultural sector and in working with teenagers.
  • Knowledge of Quebec’s cultural sector and the secondary school environment (an asset).
