Professional Dance Intensive – Compagnie Marie Chouinard
For professional dancers & students enrolled in a professional dance program
COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD will offer the 10th edition of its international workshop for professional and pre-professional dancers from January 6 to 8, 2026.
Over three days, participants will have the chance to immerse themselves in the artistic universe of Marie Chouinard, explore her choreographic systems, and absorb her rigorous and pulsating movement language alongside the company’s dancers.
Each day will begin with meditation and body-awareness classes focusing on breath and sound. Participants will study in depth the unique rhythm and physicality of the choreographer’s work, breath work, spinal articulation, presence, and internal connections. This training will enrich technique, deepen interpretation skills, and open dancers to a subtle practice that reunifies body, psyche, and soul.
Teaching will be led by the 12 exceptional interpreters of the company: Carol Prieur, Clémentine Schindler, Adrian W.S. Batt, Sophie Qin, Valeria Gallucio, Michael Baboolal, Jérôme Zerges, Béatrice Larouche, Rose Gagnol, Luigi Luna, Ana Van Tendeloo, and Justin Calvadores.
