Move OFF Artist Call
The Move OFF is back… Always on the fringe!
We’re now accepting applications to select 5 artists who will each present a 5-minute excerpt, pitch, or project presentation.
The Move OFF is an unconventional event designed to offer a space for uninhibited creativity and connection for artists working in dance and performance. Its aim is to highlight experimental and conceptual dance and performance by providing an alternative platform for artists whose practices span a wide range of approaches.
Deeply inspired by the spirit of the Phoque OFF festival, the Move OFF team envisions a complement to RIDEAU’s showcases—one that broadens the scope of possibilities and helps deepen conversations around dance and performance practices in Québec.
This third edition of the Move OFF will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11 p.m. at La Charpente des Fauves in Québec City’s Lower Town (206 Christophe-Colomb East).
Submission Requirements:
- Artistic intent behind the proposed project (max. 250 words)
- Project details (title, duration, team, etc.)
- Place of work/residence in Québec (to ensure territorial representation)
- CV (maximum 2 pages)

Selected artists will receive a symbolic honorarium for their participation, as well as travel assistance for those living outside the Québec City region.
