Seeking for Box Office Manager

Reporting to the Administrative Officer and working closely with the Festival team, the Box Office Manager coordinates all activities within their sector. Their responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling performances, public activities, fundraising campaigns, and other projects in the Tuxedo ticketing system, and ensuring daily follow-up with service partners
  • Managing the ticketing system and day-to-day box office operations
  • Recruiting and supervising the box office team to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintaining ongoing collaboration with box office staff at partner theatres
  • Setting up the box office at the Festival Headquarters and ensuring smooth sales operations during the Festival
  • Communicating regularly with the production team regarding venue capacity management, and with venues regarding ticketing logistics (inventory sharing, royalties, audience entry, etc.)
  • Ensuring proper application of policies related to audience entry, complimentary tickets, and reduced-price tickets
  • Supervising audience entry and planning staff schedules accordingly
  • Producing daily sales reports, reconciling these reports, and managing the remittance of daily and final revenues
  • Producing final reports for the administration and marketing departments and completing the closure of venue files
  • Participating, as needed, in administration, communications, and audience development meetings, as well as coordination meetings during the Festival
  • Providing, at the end of the mandate, a sector report and recommendations

Additional tasks include:

  • Managing ticket holds, internal sales, complimentary tickets, order fulfillment and follow-up for online purchases, and inventory sharing
  • Coding ticket sales according to the established pricing structure
  • Handling customer requests (exchanges, cancellations, reprints, complaints, etc.)

The Box Office Manager may be asked to perform additional tasks as required by the Festival TransAmériques.
