Seeking Communications Associate and Box Office Manager
Founded in 2005, Casteliers is a presenting organization specialized in theatre dedicated to the puppet arts. The organization produces an annual international festival and a regular season program, hosts artists in residence, and offers a wide range of cultural mediation activities for citizens of all generations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Communications Assistant and Box Office Manager is responsible for carrying out tasks related to communications, marketing, and the smooth operation of the box office for the Casteliers International Festival (FIC).
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Director of Communications and Marketing in implementing the communication plan and the sponsorship plan for the festival;
- Update the festival websites and post events on relevant platforms;
- Design and adapt digital visuals using existing graphic templates;
- Work in collaboration with artists and partners to gather the information required to promote events;
- Contribute to the writing and distribution of newsletters, press releases, and invitations;
- Plan and manage social media content and measure performance;
- Coordinate box office activities in collaboration with other partners and ensure ongoing follow-up;
- Coordinate complimentary ticket reservations as well as tickets for the professional delegation;
- Plan and coordinate the festival’s mobile box offices;
- Maintain up-to-date databases and produce sales and attendance reports;
- Ensure continuous presence at the festival welcome desk to greet and answer questions from the public;
- Participate in team and production meetings for the festival;
- Provide support for any other tasks related to the position.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant training or equivalent experience;
- Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English;
- Knowledge of HTML and Adobe Creative Cloud software;
- Familiarity with social media and performance measurement tools;
- Assets: ○ Knowledge of the Quebec cultural sector; ○ Experience in box office management.

CONTRACT DURATION & SCHEDULE
- October 15 to December 19, 2025: 21 hrs/week
- January 6 to March 8, 2026: 35 hrs/week
- March 9 to 28, 2026: 21 hrs/week
CONDITIONS
- Flexible schedule, possibility of remote work for certain tasks (to be determined at hiring);
Salary based on experience and current pay scale.
