The young audience dance company BOUGE DE LÀ is looking for dance performers to revive its landmark work 26 Letters to Dance.
Applicants must:
- Have solid training in contemporary dance;
- Demonstrate significant professional stage experience;
- Have skills and interest in theatrical performance, partnering work, and improvisation;
- Be creative and enjoy composition work;
- Enjoy teamwork;
- Be an early riser (performances often start at 9:30 a.m.!).
Profile:
- Female performers comfortable with partnering work and the role of flyer.
- Male performers comfortable with partnering work and the role of base.
Required availability:
In 2025
- December 1 to 12, 2025 for studio rehearsals;
- January 6 to 16, 2026 for a technical residency;
- Between September 2026 and June 2027 (to be confirmed) for rehearsals and touring;
- Beyond this period for possible additional touring.
UDA contractual agreement.

- A 1-minute video demonstrating the movement quality and style that represent you;
- A 1-minute video explaining why you wish to dance for a young audience;

Founded in 2000 by Hélène Langevin, Bouge de là creates, produces, and presents high-quality contemporary dance works for young audiences, while offering a wide range of activities and educational tools to deepen the artistic encounter.
The company presents shows infused with humor and poetry that integrate various artistic disciplines. To date, approximately 1,600 performances of its works have been presented across Canada and abroad.
