The Director – Touring and Strategic Partnerships will play a central role alongside the Artistic and Executive Directors (AEDs) of two renowned artistic organizations known for their bold creations. You will contribute to the development of touring, partnerships, strategic growth, and fundraising, as well as organizational management, ensuring the visibility and sustainability of these unique voices.
Working closely with the AEDs, you will be responsible for defining and implementing cross-organizational actions and timelines arising from strategic objectives related to both market development of productions and key financial partnerships. You will also support RD Créations in managing internal operations (finance, HR, strategic planning, etc.).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Touring and Partnerships Development
- Define and implement a strategic, realistic, and efficient market development plan based on objectives and timelines set with the AEDs.
- Negotiate collaboration agreements and maintain relationships between the AEDs and ecosystem partners (local, national, and international).
- Oversee the development of tours and the distribution of works, in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Establish and negotiate partnerships to support creation and distribution: residencies, co-productions, joint presentations, and exploration of new territories and markets.
- Actively participate in strategic networking events (arts markets, salons, fundraising events, etc.).
- Expand the organizations’ visibility and diversify influence networks in cultural, academic, and institutional sectors, implementing tailored communications and marketing tools to support development initiatives.
- Supervise communications campaigns related to touring and partnerships in collaboration with communications managers.
Strategic Development and Fundraising
- Develop and implement philanthropic strategies aligned with the organizations’ funding (private and public) and growth objectives.
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with philanthropic partners, sponsors, and donors (individuals and corporations).
- Negotiate foundational funding agreements to support the organizations’ strategic vision.
- Manage administrative and marketing follow-up on partnership agreements.
- Implement tools and performance indicators to evaluate development activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of partners and strategic contacts.
- Perform other tasks related to the position as required.
Organizational Management (RD Créations only)
- Optimize organizational capacity to allow the AED to focus on creative projects (accounting, HR).
- Support the research and drafting of grant applications and funding proposals.
- Serve as the liaison with financial partners (public and private sectors) and negotiate collaboration agreements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant education and/or at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong experience in teamwork, negotiation, representation, and cultural business development.
- Excellent knowledge of the performing arts sector, distribution markets, and networks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite (Drive, Calendar, Gmail); knowledge of Asana and QuickBooks is an asset.
- Understanding of non-profit operations and realities.
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one for travel.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- 6% paid vacation (including 2 weeks in summer, 1 week between Christmas and New Year’s, flexible dates).
- Hybrid work mode: remote and weekly in-person presence for team meetings.
- Flexibility to work abroad for up to 1 cumulative month per year after the probation period.
- Sick leave, social leave, and statutory holidays as prescribed by CNESST.
- Annual financial compensation for personal equipment use (computer, phone, etc.).
