ANNA SANCHEZ graduated from the École supérieure de ballet du Québec, where she completed an advanced diploma in classical and contemporary dance. She then trained in flamenco with Rocío Vadillo, Myriam Allard, among others. Recently, she has performed in Minuit Quelque Part by Lydia Bouchard and Merryn Kritzinger (CAPAS – 2024/25), in works by Andrew Skeels (Past Rooms – 2023/24, New Creation – 2024/25, Lied der Mignon – 2021), as well as in Inner Land Mines by Eva Kolarova (2023). She also took part in Ensemble Caprice’s ArtCrush concert (2024) and in Alma Flamenca at CJE Centre-Ville (2024).
Active within Montreal’s dance community, Anna teaches flamenco and serves as program coordinator for TransFormation at Danse à la Carte, while also working as an assistant and répétiteur for the École supérieure. A curious and versatile artist, she develops her own choreographic projects and nurtures her practice with diverse influences, from piano to flamenco, always guided by the desire to connect technique, expression, and authenticity.
In 2026, she co-founded the company L'À-Coup with percussionist Miguel Medina.
