Aria Trotel

Interprète

Aria Trotel is a choreographic artist whose practice lies at the intersection of dance, theatre, and critical thought. Her work explores the relationship between the body, emotions, and social dynamics, approaching movement as a space for perception, transformation, and reflection.

Through a poetic and engaged approach, she investigates the tensions, forms of resistance, and relationships that move through the body, considering it as a place where the intimate and the collective meet.

She studied Performing Arts and Communication at Université Jean-Jaurès in Toulouse, followed by training in Dramatic Writing and Stage Creation. She continued her dance journey between France and Québec, where she completed a Technical Diploma in Dance and Performance in 2024.

Since then, she has collaborated as a performer and creator with various artists and organizations within Québec’s dance community, including Zemmour Ballet, Danse K par K, and Maison pour la danse. She also develops a teaching practice with diverse audiences at École de danse de Québec, where she has been teaching since 2022.

Her journey between France and Québec informs a sensitive exploration of the body, the stage, and the many ways of inhabiting movement.
