Rocío Vadillo Molina

Chorégraphe, Enseignant.e, Interprète

Originally from Andalusia, Spain, Rocío Vadillo developed a passion for the performing arts at a young age. She began her artistic training at the Higher School of Dramatic Art at the Conservatory of Córdoba, her hometown. Her talent was quickly recognized, and she received her first scholarship, which allowed her to continue her studies at the Madrid Film School. A second scholarship then brought her to the Carmen Roche Dance School, also in Madrid, where she studied musical theatre.

It was in this city that she began teaching dance, in the Antón Martín neighborhood, known as a true cradle of Madrid flamenco.

She then spent fifteen years in France, a period during which she took part in numerous artistic projects. Some of these projects were initiated by her, such as Deseo, Trinidad, and Vous êtes ici, a deeply poetic show blending theatre, clowning, poetry, and flamenco, which perfectly illustrates her unique and emotional approach to the stage. She also collaborated with several companies such as Al Golpe Flamenco and Compagnie Zambra, enriching her path with a wide range of artistic experiences.

Alongside her stage career, Rocío Vadillo has been deeply involved in teaching for over twenty years. She shares her passion and expertise through dance and singing classes. She founded her own school, Flamenco Rocío Vadillo, and also teaches at prestigious institutions such as the Studios of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec, and Collège Sainte-Anne as part of their dance program. She also teaches in other educational settings, introducing teenagers and young adults to the art of flamenco.

Based in Montreal since 2018, she continues to develop her artistic career while actively integrating into Quebec’s cultural scene. She has participated in several notable projects, including the music video for Par amour by international singer Lara Fabian. She also plays a key role in coordinating flamenco shows at the legendary Club Espagnol de Québec. At the same time, she joined the Cormier Agency as an actress, marking a turning point in her television career.

She has landed roles in several Quebec TV series, including L’Empereur, Alertes, À cœur battant, Projet Innocence, Bellefleur, and Détective Surprenant.

Today, Rocío Vadillo embodies an artist with a rich and diverse background. Her journey, driven by an unwavering passion for the stage, has taken her from Andalusia to Montreal, by way of Madrid and Paris. Whether through dance, singing, theatre, or teaching, she continues to share her love of art with a unique sensitivity and great artistic generosity.
