Jade-Élodie Ferland

Chorégraphe, Enseignant.e, Interprète

Based in Montreal, Jade-Élodie is not only a dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher but also a multidisciplinary artist. Curious and passionate, she has explored various art forms from a young age, including music, theatre, writing, and circus arts, before focusing more specifically on dance. Eager to combine her knowledge, she seeks to create works where she can express herself through different mediums.

In 2021, she took on the roles of artistic director, choreographer, and singer-songwriter in a collaboration with Annie Dufresne to create a short film aimed at raising awareness about the effects of isolation on young people’s mental health during the pandemic.

Deeply inspired by human connection and the laws of physics, she mainly dedicates herself to partnering work, floorwork, and more recently, acrobatic movement. She enjoys working in situ and using her environment as a creative engine: swings, stairs, slopes, sculptures, and all sorts of objects become a playground for developing unique movement, drawing her closer to her love of aerial circus.

On screen, she has appeared in seasons 1 and 5 of Révolution, the Bonne fête ComediHa! Gala, and the Mammouth XXL Gala. In 2024, Jade-Élodie was a dancer and model for the Browns/B2 winter campaign directed by REBL HOUSE.

On stage, she performed The Smile Club at the Festival Quartiers Danses following a residency with the company Trip the Light Fantastic in 2021. In 2022, she joined Manon Levac, Philippe Vita, and Charles St-Onge in Fragile: le printemps perdu. That same year, she performed in CYCLES, choreographed by Sarah Steben. In 2023, she co-choreographed and performed in TANZANITE, a youth production by the company Takabouger, where she also co-composed the musical score. In 2025, she performs Résonances, a piece signed Esther Rousseau-Morin & Sylvain Lafortune.

In addition to her studies in contemporary dance at Collège Montmorency—where she received the Excellence Scholarship—Jade-Élodie is an alumna of Moving Beyond, a professional program led by Sarah Steben. She also trains with Team White and several street dance pioneers in Montreal. In recent years, she has been training primarily with the company RUBBERBAND and Sylvain Lafortune to deepen her understanding of partnering work.
