What connects us – to each other, to the Earth? With DIRT, the Tentacle Tribe company offers a singular blend of break, popping and contemporary puppetry to question our conquering relationship with the planet.

DIRT means both cool, in popular parlance, and earth – like the humus that enables plants and life to grow.

The five dancers evoke a tribe of friends, a street gang or a micro-society of climate resisters. Together, they launch into a breathtaking chassé-croisé of apparitions-disparitions, symbolic shadow plays and acrobatic figures typical of street dance. They transform the cypher, the typical circle of streetdance battles, into a battleground where a hopeful struggle is waged for the survival of the planet and human life.

A show for all audiences, drawing on both the ghostly ambience of dreams and the world of fabulous tales!
