Personalized Support Program in Presenting
Once your show is created, a new challenge arises: making it shine. Several methods and strategies can be considered to develop the market that suits your project and your artistic approach. The support aims to acquire skills and a specific working method that will serve the distribution objectives identified by the artist.
In line with her work with the Regroupement québécois de la danse, Suzanne Beaucaire is joining La danse sur les routes du Québec to offer you an approach adapted to your reality and to the distribution perspectives of your project. She will help you find and adapt the actions that allow for an effective positioning of your work while taking into account your resources (time and money).
Objectives
Depending on the needs you will have identified with Suzanne Beaucaire, the intervention will allow you to:
- Determine your objectives as an artist according to your resources (time and money).
- Validate the communication tools based on the artistic identity of your project.
- Identify more clearly the distribution potential of your project.
- Target relevant markets and effective ways to reach them.
- Adopt concrete and effective methods and tools for your distribution.
- Develop a strategy to improve the distribution of your creations (short, medium, and long term).
- Put in place coherent planning.
- Develop a specific approach based on a precise issue and find solutions to your challenges.
- Get familiar with and demystify the meeting with the key people who build a season or develop a program.
- Maximize the impact of your project by seizing opportunities to promote your work in the context of different events (Parcours Danse, festivals, showcases, etc.).

Who is this training for ?
For artists and cultural workers who have little or no experience in distribution or who are beginning their market development efforts.
Instructor
Suzanne Beaucaire is a self-taught artist who perfected her craft in the art of movement (mime, acrobatics, clowning…) with masters and recognized institutions in Montreal and New York in the 1980s. After a rewarding “on-stage” career spanning about ten years, Suzanne acquired other skills that allowed her to also promote projects emerging from an artistic community she wanted to support.
This was the beginning of her deep involvement behind the scenes of creation. Since the late 1990s, she has contributed to the growth of recognized Montreal companies and has made national and international distribution her preferred playground, adapting to constantly changing issues.
Since 2013, Suzanne has been developing group training designed to instill notions and strategies to improve the work surrounding distribution. The project quickly evolved, and an individualized coaching version is now offered. For over a dozen years, the method and tools developed by the consultant have helped support more than a hundred artists in the daunting challenge of distributing a stage work.
Additionally, Suzanne Beaucaire is involved on various boards of directors and committees that enhance her expertise and nourish her reflections on the presence of the performing arts in society.
