Workshop : Charo Foo – Let’s start somewhere
Objective
This workshop is an invitation to slow down and meet your body with care. Through gentle body scans, guided imagination, and quiet movement exploration, we will listen to what the body is already saying, without forcing it to perform.
I am inspired by two dance practices: Butoh, which embraces raw honesty and the unknown, and classical Chinese dance, which carries inner breath and delicate intention. These two practices, one raw, one refined, will serve as gentle companions. They offer pathways to sense what is alive inside, rather than to achieve a result. Each body carries its own history, traumas and silences. Within everyone lies a deeply personal movement, a quiet dance that belongs only to you. In this workshop, we will create space for that movement to appear, even in its smallest or most fragile form.
Content
As the days unfold, we will move from simple ritual – e.g., noticing the breath, seeing your present state – into moments where movement begins to speak from a more intimate place. Let’s explore together and let a tender spark grow. A movement seed to bring home and keep gently alive in your own time.
