Workshop : Sylvie Tourangeau – My performative identity

Objective

To provide an active laboratory and a safe environment in order to bring out your fundamental motivations and translate them into performative actions that reflect the unique aspects of your identity as well as your interdisciplinary practice.

To use the principles of performance to bring together elements of various kinds (gestures, words, actions, objects, temporalities, spatial arrangements, devices, etc.).

To develop your own strategies for creation, intervention, and communication.

Enhance your creative capacity in all aspects of the creative process. Realize new perspectives in the production and dissemination of artistic work that is performative, interdisciplinary, and identity-based.

Ensure a form of continuity in each artist’s creative process by introducing new methodologies and defining new directions for work to be pursued during and after the program.

Content

This training, based on gradual and personalized learning, includes practical exercises, role-playing, individual work sessions, dynamic feedback, and experimentation with the conception, structuring, and presentation of performative actions with an interdisciplinary approach. There will also be individual coaching sessions conducted in front of the group.
