Introduction to Somatic Practice and Laban-Bartenieff

This 3-hour workshop offers an introduction to dance/movement therapy through a sensitive and accessible approach. Guided by Brigitte Lachance, R-DMT and physiotherapist, participants will explore movement as a tool for expression, regulation, and reconnection with oneself.

Through guided exercises, open explorations, and moments of sharing, you will be invited to tune into your body, observe what emerges, and allow movement to unfold in a supportive environment.

The workshop focuses on body awareness, self-listening, and creativity. It will offer practical tools to integrate these experiences into your personal or professional life.

Whether you’re a dancer, dance teacher, therapist, care provider, or simply curious, this introduction will allow you to experience somatic practice first-hand.
