Studio Ouvert – Nos Ventres

In the fall of 2025, thanks to the Creation Residency Award from Culture Outaouais, four artists from the Outaouais region and beyond in Quebec came together at Maison Scott-Fairview for the project Nos ventres (Our Bellies).

Rooted in a collaborative process and enriched by public consultations, Nos ventres unfolds around a central question: how are reproductive choices experienced, encoded, influenced, celebrated, or constrained by social norms, cultural narratives, public policies, and personal trajectories?

Come discover the work of these four artists during an open studio presenting an immersive journey that weaves together dance performances, musical compositions, poetry, photography, and audio testimonies. Situated at the crossroads of installation, performance, and mediation, this intimate space will bring visibility to experiences around motherhood and non-motherhood that are too often left unspoken.
