The spotlight is on (LA)HORDE, the trio leading the Ballet national de Marseille since 2019 and which has caused a sensation with its engaged post-punk performances. The influences of fashion, immersive worlds and club culture are omnipresent. Exploring the place of humans in an era of online content and ceaseless self-promotion, (LA)HORDE propels a troupe of 18 phenomenally intense performers onstage. In a deconstructed space-time, the borders between real and virtual bodies become porous. Evoking fight scenes from action movies, stunts, musicals, open-world video games, postmodern dance and choreographic TikTok challenges, Age of Content culminates in a dazzling finale. A surge of raw energy that punches right in the gut.
