FURIES Opening night

This year, FURIES kicks off its 6th edition with its famous opening concert! YAV will perform tracks from her EP ERUPTION, where Afro rhythms meet deep, introspective R&B melodies. The concert will be preceded by two opening acts!

Pjila’si by Valérie Ivy Hamelin & Alexia Vinci The two artists propose a song and a prayer of welcome in the form of a poetic performance. This work is presented as a world premiere, in french and mi’gmaq.

Haricot Alto by Rodrigo Alvarenga-Bonilla

A brilliant blend of contemporary and streetdance, Haricot Alto is nothing less than the biggest solo of the year. The performer-creator will impress you by dominating the stage with his imposing presence. Haricot Alto is grandiose, disproportionate and unprecedented. Prepare to be bowled over!

This solo is a carte blanche presented as a world premiere.

ERUPTION by YAV

Congo-born YAV is a singer, songwriter, producer, movement artist and model. On the opening night of FURIES, YAV will perform tracks from his EP, ERUPTION, released on March 22, 2024.

This concert is a North American premiere.
