A performance presented as part of Coro Casse, a vibrant festival celebrating street dance in Québec City from June 19 to 22, 2025.

Tentacle Tribe, whose movement vocabulary weaves together street styles, martial arts, and contemporary dance, dazzles us by blurring the lines between reality and the dreamlike. Overflowing with talent and imagination, creative duo Emmanuelle Lê Phan and Elon Höglund—Canadian and Swedish respectively—extend their tentacles into luminous realms. They delve into themes of perception, illusion, and the unseen, searching for what eludes our grasp, slips through language, and escapes the eye.

A quintet of performers moves across a reflective floor, surrounded by mobile mirror panels they manipulate at different angles. Their bodies, multiplied in kaleidoscopic ways, unite and entwine fluidly, in perfect synergy with a soundscape composed by Elon Höglund. Prisme opens us to a multitude of possibilities, distorting perspectives and deconstructing movement into an endless array of shifting, multicolored images. A dreamlike journey with a guaranteed hypnotic effect.

A co-presentation by Tentacle Tribe, La Rotonde, and the Grand Théâtre de Québec.
