Sandrine Kwan is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection between spontaneous improvisation and pre-established structures. In her quest for authenticity in the performative act, she creates spaces where artists and audiences share fleeting, unique and unrepeatable moments. As these moments fade away, they pave the way for the next gesture, the next encounter.
In 2018, she had the opportunity to work with Peggy Baker on a version of her piece *Move*. She also took part in a series of site-specific performances bringing together 200 women in a piece by Sasha Milavic Davies and Lucy Railton entitled *Every That Rises Must Dance*, as part of Dance Umbrella in London.
She is currently developing her first work, *Transmogrification* (working title), which she began during her residency at Bloc.Danse in January 2025 at the Maison pour la danse in Québec.
